| System Requirements
In order to use the StockBoss Interactive Application for PageWriter you must have the following: Motorola PageWriter 2000x or Timeport P930/935 2way Pager If the application software is not already loaded on your pager then the FLEX PC Partner suite is also required (supplied with the PageWriter). See the PageWriter/Timeport Series User's Manual for system requirements for the PC Partner software. If you do not have a PageWriter 2000x or TimePort P930/935 Series Pager you can still take advantage of the features of StockBoss' regular service selections. To download the current release of StockBoss Interactive Application for PageWriter click here (Ver 1.10P). The file contains a self extracting executable program that will install all the necessary files to your local hard drive. The complete User's Guide is included in the main download or may be downloaded separately. (Please review the PageWriter User's Manual for additional instructions about connecting the charger unit to the your computer and configuring the PC Partner software.) After downloading the application, run the executable file to install the files. Follow the instructions on each screen on the install program. Note: If you are installing over version 1.0 or earlier, please removed the old application first. Use the menu wheel to select 'Customize'. Next select 'Delete Applications..'. Select and delete SBParser, SBDemand and StockBoss. Now continue with the installation. When you get to the Start Partner screen of the install script it is very important to reboot the pager before continuing. With the pager unit in hand (not in the charger base) turn it off (Alt-Home). Then it back on by hitting the Enter key. After the units displays the menu wheel, place the unit in the charger base. Navigate to the Partner program and hit Enter, then Enter again to tell the pager to await a connection from the PC. Now select the Start Download button on the PC. After the files have been installed on the Pagewriter click on the Next button on the PC to complete the installation. If it recommended to review the User's Guide before starting to use the program. Current StockBoss customers who possess a PageWriter unit and wish to use the StockBoss Interactive Application should perform the Download and Installation detailed above. Then follow the instructions in the User's Guide. Enter your Name and Email address in the Account Info screen, and then request a Portfolio Update on All. Wait for the portfolio messages to be returned. The stocks from each portfolio on the server will be populated to the same portfolio on the pager. |
